What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Thankfully, in the case of the question of what’s more beneficial to do first: custom club fitting or lessons, the answer is both and in either order.

Tuning up your swing via lessons prior to a custom club fitting would certainly be beneficial. Conversely, taking lessons after getting properly fit into a set of clubs custom built for you and your swing would also be beneficial. The decision comes down to your preference, your timing and schedule, and your budget.

The consultative fitting approach that we deploy is well suited to golfers of every skill level. From weekend warriors just getting into the game on up to elite level amateurs, we see it all! One of the best features of our consultative approach is that our fitters aren’t paid to sell. If it’s clear that you just can’t find your swing on the day of your fitting, no worries! We’re happy to turn the session into an indoor range session, let you work through the day’s demons, and reschedule the fitting for another day.

That said, if you’re a mid- to high-handicap player don’t worry about the bad shots! As fitters our job is to work with you and your game, wherever it’s at. No pressure. No judgment. Golf is a game, meant to be enjoyed. Every golfer and every golf swing is unique and there’s an almost limitless matrix of equipment combinations at our disposal as fitters. But at the end of the day our job is to use equipment to help you maximize the fun and enjoyment you have out on the golf course.

Lastly, if you choose to go down the route of getting fit for clubs and then taking lessons, our team is always happy to get you back into a fitting bay to adjust your lofts & lies to fit whatever swing changes you’ve made.
